July 4th, 1776! The Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress…and America was born.
She’s lived through a lot. Her scars run deep. The blood of the valiant and innocent has been shed throughout her history. Graves, marked and unmarked, hold generations of wisdom, honor, and selflessness. She’s seen her share of wars against evil, both foreign and homespun, and she’s fought her fair share of battles to preserve humanity and dignity on the home front.
Through it all, one thing has remained steadfast in the face of celebration and adversity…God…although not as visible now as in days gone by, but still as present.
On this day that we celebrate freedom (for all), let’s not forget the One who grants us true freedom! May your day be filled with the blessings of family, fun, and fellowship. May God bless and keep you…and may God Bless America!!!
“For you were called to
freedom, brothers. Only
do not use your freedom
as an opportunity for
the flesh, but through love,
serve one another.
-Galatians 5:13
“Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.” ~John Adams, President of The United States
